Remote Attorney - Legal Tech

Description

We are a growing legal tech company currently seeking a contract attorney or paralegal to work remotely in developing state-specific legal documents on a contract basis. The selected candidate will enjoy competitive compensation and remain an independent contractor.

In this role, you will:

• Conduct multi-jurisdictional surveys on laws and regulations pertaining to contracts, leases, incorporations and other legal documents 
• Draft customized templates enforceable in all 50 states and DC
• Work closely with our design and engineering teams to integrate documents into our platform using basic HTML, which we will train you on
• Assist with form generation, document testing and other product development tasks

Requirements

• A Juris Doctorate degree or international law degree
• Experience drafting transactional legal documents
• Excellent research skills using legal research platforms, especially Westlaw
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to spot issues in complex documents
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new systems quickly
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously
• While not required, law journal editing experience is a plus.
