To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, this Summer, we’re looking to add a Legal Intern located in our San Jose, CA site.
Reporting to the Global Law Department, the student will assist with a wide range of corporate legal matters in a fast paced, multinational environment. This role provides hands on experience working with in house attorneys across corporate, litigation, compliance, commercial, and governance functions, with meaningful exposure to cross functional business partners.
The ideal candidate is a current law student with strong academic credentials, excellent research and analytical skills, and an interest in in-house legal practice at a global company.
What a typical day looks like:
- Support in house counsel on a broad range of corporate, commercial, and litigation related matters, including research, document review, and drafting support
- Conduct legal and regulatory research, including multi jurisdictional or 50 state analyses, and prepare clear written summaries for internal stakeholders
- Assist with contracts and transactional matters, including agreement review, issue spotting, and internal guidance preparation
- Support compliance, governance, and risk management initiatives, including policy review and regulatory tracking
- Collaborate with legal team members and cross functional partners (Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, IT, Compliance) on ongoing projects
- Help organize and document legal processes, trackers, and matter management tools to support efficient legal operations
- Participate in special projects and ad hoc assignments based on department priorities and intern interests
Student qualities we’re seeking for this internship assignment:
- Current Juris Doctor candidate enrolled at an ABA accredited law school
- Strong academic performance and demonstrated commitment to excellence
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a professional environment
- Strong attention to detail and sound judgment when handling confidential information
- Interest in in house legal practice, corporate law, and working within a business environment
- Prior in house legal experience, externship, or experience in corporate environment
- Exposure to corporate, transactional, litigation, regulatory, or compliance matters
- Background or interest in business, finance, or commercial operations
- Experience working with cross functional teams or in large, complex organizations
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort working with data, systems, or process improvement tools
Internship Program Requirements:
- Available to start on May 26th and work 40 hours/week (in-person) for 10-12 week Summer assignment
- Currently enrolled in accredited ABA law school
- 3.0 minimum GPA
