Job OverviewWe are looking for a highly skilled Full-time Associate Attorney to work in a hybrid setting, combining remote work with in-office presence. The ideal candidate will have 2-7 years of experience in Labor & Employment Law or Land Use & Zoning Law. Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive legal counsel to clients on matters related to Labor & Employment Law or Land Use & Zoning Law
- Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and pleadings
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client advice
- Represent clients in court proceedings, administrative hearings, and alternative dispute resolution forums
- Collaborate with partners and other attorneys on complex cases and projects
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Stay current with changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends
- Contribute to the firm's business development efforts through networking and marketing activities
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior attorneys and support staff
- Participate in firm committees and initiatives as needed
- Advise clients on various employment-related matters, including hiring, termination, discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour issues
- Draft and review employee handbooks, policies, and procedures
- Conduct workplace investigations and provide recommendations for resolution
- Represent clients in employment-related litigation, including wrongful termination, discrimination, and wage and hour claims
- Assist clients with labor union negotiations and collective bargaining agreements
- Provide guidance on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Conduct training sessions for clients on employment law topics and best practices
- Advise clients on zoning regulations, land use restrictions, and development opportunities
- Prepare and submit applications for zoning variances, special use permits, and other land use approvals
- Represent clients before local planning boards, zoning boards of appeal, and other regulatory bodies
- Negotiate and draft development agreements, easements, and other real estate-related documents
- Assist clients with environmental compliance and permitting issues related to land development
- Conduct due diligence for real estate transactions and development projects
- Provide counsel on historic preservation and conservation matters
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with the state bar association
- 2-8 years of experience practicing Labor & Employment Law and/or Land Use & Zoning Law (preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
