Salary
We are looking for a Senior Litigation Attorney with 9+ years of defense litigation experience to join a growing, collegial firm and independently manage complex construction law and Labor Law cases. You'll be someone with enough gray hairs to handle million-dollar cases without supervision—a seasoned litigator ready for a long-term home at a firm that treats its people exceptionally well.
What will you be doing?
- Managing a full caseload of construction litigation and NY Labor Law cases from inception through resolution
- Conducting and defending depositions as core daily work
- Trying cases and representing clients in court, mediations, and settlement conferences
- Collaborating with partners on trial prep, legal strategy, and client communication
- Mentoring junior attorneys as the firm invests in younger talent
Key Requirements
- 10+ years of defense litigation experience (7+ considered with strong construction law background)
- Demonstrated New York Labor Law / construction site accident litigation experience — absolute must-have
- Trial experience and ability to independently handle high-value cases
- Salary expectations aligned with Long Island market ($150K–$185K base), not Manhattan pay scales
- Long-term mindset — no job hoppers; looking for someone who wants to build a career here
