Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Counsel to join our legal team in North America. As a key member of our global legal department, you will support our rapidly expanding business and organization, working intensively with local stakeholders and global teams. This position will be based onsite at our Houston, TX North America headquarters & will report directly to the Group General Counsel based in Austria.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to the US business units, management, and stakeholders.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including customer, supplier, and partnership agreements.
- Ensure compliance with US federal and state laws and regulations, as well as international standards.
- Manage and resolve disputes, litigation, and regulatory matters.
- Support M&A activities, corporate governance, and risk management initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, HR, and compliance.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, providing practical solutions and a can-do attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- Coordinate with external counsel as necessary.
Minimum Requirements:
- Legal qualification and active license to practice law in at least one US state.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in an international industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of supporting fast-growing businesses and organizations.
- Strong knowledge of US commercial, corporate, and regulatory law.
- International professional experience a plus.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- High level of integrity, business acumen, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to travel as needed; experience working with European headquarters is a plus.
