Position Overview:
As a Corporate Legal Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our company meets legal and regulatory requirements within the fintech and SaaS sectors across the UK and USA. You will provide strategic legal guidance, assist with corporate governance, and help manage legal risks associated with our innovative technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice on matters related to fintech regulations, SaaS agreements, data privacy, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and intellectual property, with a focus on compliance across the UK and USA.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, including software licensing, service agreements, and partnership contracts.
  • Offer guidance on compliance with financial regulations, data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and cybersecurity standards.
  • Support corporate governance and establish internal policies aligned with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Advise on and support M&A, strategic partnerships, and IP matters.
  • Collaborate with other legal experts, particularly on intellectual property and patent-related matters.
  • Represent the company in legal proceedings or negotiations, as required.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations impacting the fintech and SaaS sectors in both the UK and the USA.
  • Assist in developing and implementing internal compliance training programs.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law, ideally obtained a couple of years ago, with experience at a law firm.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in corporate law with a focus on fintech, SaaS, or technology.
  • Expertise in M&A, intellectual property (IP), and patents, with practical experience in both the UK and the USA.
  • Strong technical understanding of IP data.
  • Demonstrated experience with data privacy laws, specifically GDPR in the UK and CCPA in the USA, as well as software licensing.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, as multiple resources may be involved in addressing complex legal needs.



Preferred Skills:

  • Strong understanding of fintech regulations, compliance requirements, and international data protection laws.
  • Proven expertise in IP and M&A law, with deep experience in managing tech-related intellectual property, patent law, and cross-border mergers and acquisitions.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in drafting and negotiating complex SaaS and technology agreements.
  • Proficiency in cross-border corporate governance, including managing international corporate structures and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated legal expertise tailored to tech companies, covering data privacy, software licensing, and IP protection.
