Director of Legal - Glendale, AZ – Immigration Law Firm
OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION
New Frontier Immigration Law seeks an experienced Director of Legal to join our mission of helping 1 million immigrants LIVE FREE through innovative legal representation and inspirational advocacy. As a key leader in our 125-person firm, you'll oversee the quality and consistency of our legal services while fostering excellence across our legal teams.
This Glendale-based position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of immigration law practice while maintaining hands-on involvement in transforming clients' lives. You'll lead a team of 10 legal professionals, ensuring exceptional service delivery in family-based immigration, humanitarian cases, and removal defense.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of legal operations
- Ensure consistent, high-quality work product across all case types
- Maintain quality control systems and conduct regular case audits
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Train and mentor attorneys and legal assistants on best practices
- Handle escalated client concerns and complex cases
- Oversee case management and documentation in Filevine
- Manage a small personal caseload to stay connected to direct practice
- Monitor ethical compliance and risk management
- Lead initiatives to enhance client experience and case outcomes
- Implement and maintain best practices for legal documentation and filing procedures
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 10 years of immigration law experience
- Extensive experience in family-based immigration, humanitarian cases, and removal defense
- Proven track record of legal team leadership and development
- Strong understanding of immigration law procedures and USCIS requirements
- Excellence in legal writing and case strategy development
- Outstanding client service and communication skills
- Active law license in good standing
- Spanish language proficiency preferred
- Ability to work full-time from our Glendale office

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Salary: $140,000+, based on experience
- $5,000 relocation assistance to Phoenix
