The Department of Justice (DOJ) has a unique opportunity to help create new employee services within the Department. The Coaching and Career Development Unit (CCD) will be devoted to providing professional coaching and career development guidance to over 5,000 employees. CCD's purpose is to establish collaborative and communicative partnerships with DOJ staff, while embracing diversity and inclusivity. We do this by helping people see their shining light from within, guiding them toward better decision-making processes and increased productivity. We strive to advance DOJ staff toward better versions of themselves for both individual and team success.
Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I in the CCD, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) Is expected to be a highly-skilled career development consultant who is responsible for researching and monitoring existing career development efforts including, but not limited to, consultations, Career counseling, upward mobility, and job skill shadowing program Services. The AGPA will:
- Work collaboratively with other members of the Office of Human Resources to develop strategies to improve the retention and professional development of the DOJ
- Develop and implement innovative strategies to meet the career goals of DOJ staff
- Maintain knowledge of the current classifications and career fields within the Department

Working Conditions
This position has been designated as eligible for telework and is currently a remote-centered position. The position will however require in person attendance on a recurring basis. The selected candidate would report to DOJ headquarters in Sacramento if/when required to attend mandated in-person meetings, trainings, etc. Expenses related to travel to the office for required events are the responsibility of the employee. All telework schedules are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time.
