- Position Overview
Under direct supervision of the Prosecuting Attorney, this full-time, unclassified position handles personnel and payroll related matters; provides administrative support; and performs other related duties, as indicated.
- Summary of Job Duties
Prepare and post vacant full-time and seasonal position descriptions and participate in recruitment and onboarding process;
Prepare and maintain personnel files;
Prepare, audit and submit bi-weekly payroll for approximately 140 employees;
Maintain attendance records for approximately 140 employees;
Maintain employee profiles, schedules, timecards and leave requests in HRIS software applications;
Maintain confidentiality of information and handling of sensitive information and documents;
Handle email, phone calls and other forms of communication; both internal and external;
Address employee concerns and issues and implement decisive action in disciplinary matters when necessary.
- Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
FMLA, HIPAA, workers compensation, and unemployment;
Employee relations;
Office practices and procedures;
Office equipment;
Microsoft Office;
Use of various software applications required for recruitment and compliance;
Public relations matters;
Personnel procedures and practices;
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Division Heads, Directors, Supervisors, Attorneys, Support Staff, as well as outside contacts;
Effective oral and written communication.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS DESIRABLE FOR EMPLOYMENT:
Minimum high school graduate, supplemented by experience and education in business administration and office procedures; ability to operate all office equipment and use Microsoft Office software. Previous experience in a Human Resource role and/or Human Resource degree preferred.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Valid Ohio driver’s license.
