We’re looking for an experienced Legal Assistant / Paralegal to join our North American Legal team and support a dynamic, growing restaurant business. Reporting to the Senior Corporate Counsel – Franchising, you’ll play an important role in franchise administration, corporate legal support, contracts, compliance, and legal operations.

What You'll Do- Support Franchise Operations: Maintain franchise records, disclosure documents, agreements, renewals, transfers, and compliance requirements.
- Manage Legal Documents: Prepare, route, track, and maintain NDAs, franchise agreements, consents, amendments, and other legal documents.
- Administer FranConnect: Maintain templates and document libraries, manage workflows, track franchisee deliverables, and ensure data accuracy.
- Coordinate Contracts & Signatures: Manage DocuSign requests, signature packets, document version control, and legal records.
- Support Compliance: Track deadlines, insurance certificates, business licenses, franchise obligations, and other regulatory requirements.
- Assist with Corporate Legal Matters: Support entity records, governance documents, officer lists, corporate filings, and other legal projects.
- Conduct Research & Drafting: Perform legal research, prepare summaries, draft routine correspondence, and assist attorneys with document preparation.
- Partner Across the Business: Work closely with Operations, Development, Finance, Risk, Accounting, Facilities, and outside counsel.
- Support Legal Operations: Help improve processes, maintain organized records, and ensure legal requests and projects stay on track.
- Notary Support: Notarize documents in person or remotely and support Remote Online Notarization (RON) processes.
- 5+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal; franchise or multi-unit business experience preferred.
- Experience with franchising, franchise agreements, NDAs, contracts, and corporate documents.
- Experience with FranConnect or a similar franchise management platform strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and high-volume workflows.
- Excellent writing, editing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, DocuSign, and document management systems.
- Notary certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a cross-functional team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment where priorities can shift quickly.
- Highly organized and exceptionally detail-oriented.
