Our client provides a full range of intellectual property expertise in today’s global technology marketplace, with a strong emphasis on patent litigation. Their success is driven by a deep understanding of client technologies and a commitment to delivering results. The team handles both the defense of infringement claims and the enforcement of patent rights, crafting litigation strategies that align with clients’ business objectives.

Responsibilities
We are seeking an associate with 2+ years of patent litigation experience and a technology or life sciences background. Responsibilities will include:

• Preparation and trial of patent matters

• Markman hearings

• Technical analysis of products and patents

• Discovery preparation and management

• Collaborating with experts

• Conducting and defending depositions

• Drafting pleadings and motions

Collaboration is an important component of this role. The position requires working from the office approximately 60% of the time in line with firm guidelines.

Qualifications

• JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school

• Admitted to practice in California, Massachusetts, New York, or Washington, DC

• Patent litigation experience in district court and/or before the International Trade Commission

• Background in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field OR biology, immunology, biochemistry, or related field

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to collaborate effectively in team settings

• Professionalism in client engagement

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $235,000 – $390,000

• Bonus eligible
