
Senior Counsel
Position Summary:
This is a full-time salaried position based out of Bridgewater, NJ (HQ).
The Senior Counsel will be a member of the Legal Department and will report to the VP, Associate Deputy General Counsel located in our Bridgewater, New Jersey office.
The Senior Counsel will closely interface with other members of the Legal
Department and business development and operations personnel throughout the US and certain international locations. The Senior Counsel will be an important legal resource on our commercial team. They Senior Counsel provide advice and assistance in negotiating and documenting various commercial relationships, as well other matters relating to the success of our business.

The Role:
Draft, review, analyze, structure and negotiate various manufacturing, packaging,
development, purchase, supply, license, and service agreementsAdvise and provide training to business unit personnel with respect to compliance policies, customer and vendor relations, contract matters, and regulatory issues
Assist in merger and acquisition activity
Help to resolve any customer disputes and claims, support litigation and direct outside counsel in dispute/litigation matters
Provide general advice to senior management of the business units and other senior Company business personnel on a day-to-day basis
Provide advice and guidance for the accomplishment of the overall business objectives in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and avoidance of unacceptable risks
Provide informed cost-benefit analysis when identifying risks
Other duties as assigned
The Candidate:
Juris Doctor degree from accredited law school, required
Admitted to practice in New Jersey (in-house admission is acceptable), or equivalent from another state, required
Minimum of three years of transactional/commercial law experience with a combination of large law firms and/or in-house pharmaceutical experience, required
Experience with VMS (vitamin, mineral, supplement), nutritional, beauty, and/or wellness industry, preferred
Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds
Pay:
New Jersey Posting
The anticipated salary range for this position in New Jersey is $136,890 - $209,200, plus bonus, when eligible. The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Catalent is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
