At Go Rentals, the Paralegal will be an integral part of the Legal and Compliance team, supporting the company’s continued growth across multiple states and jurisdictions. This role focuses on business licensing, contract management, and coordination with internal partners including Human Resources, Accounting, Fleet Operations, Marketing, and Business Development, as well as with outside counsel. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in a corporate legal department or law firm is preferred, along with a working knowledge of business licensing and permitting for multi-location operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Business Licensing and Permitting
• Research, prepare, file, and maintain all required business licenses, tax certificates, and operational permits at the city, county, and state levels for Go Rentals locations nationwide.
• Track and manage renewal schedules to ensure compliance and prevent lapses.
• Maintain a centralized and organized database of all licenses, permits, and related correspondence.
• Collaborate with Finance, Fleet Operations, and regional management to ensure alignment on license and tax requirements. -
Contract Administration
• Manage and maintain Go Rentals’ contract repository and document management systems.
• Draft, edit, and prepare standard agreements using approved templates such as vendor contracts, nondisclosure agreements, and service agreements.
• Review contracts for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies before execution.
• Track and monitor key contract dates, obligations, and renewal timelines to ensure proactive management. -
Corporate and Legal Support
• Assist with preparation, filing, and maintenance of corporate documents including entity registrations, annual reports, and other required filings.
• Serve as a liaison across departments such as Operations, HR, Marketing, and Accounting to address legal and compliance needs.
• Coordinate with outside counsel on litigation, transactional, or regulatory matters as directed.
• Conduct legal research and compile findings on applicable regulations, compliance standards, and business issues. -
General Legal and Compliance Support
• Support internal audits, policy updates, and record-keeping initiatives to promote compliance and operational efficiency.
• Assist with special projects and additional responsibilities as appropriate for a corporate paralegal role within a multi-state organization.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, or a related field required
- Paralegal Certification preferred.
- Minimum of five years of progressive experience as a paralegal in a corporate legal department, compliance function, or law firm supporting business operations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of business licensing, regulatory compliance, and contract administration for multi-state or multi-location operations.
- Proven ability to organize and manage complex licensing and renewal schedules with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
- Skilled in drafting, reviewing, and maintaining a wide range of commercial agreements using standard templates and legal terminology.
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret statutes, regulations, and contractual language.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, document management software, and contract tracking systems; experience implementing or maintaining legal databases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external counsel.
- Professional demeanor with strong judgment, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
