Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Paralegal to support our real estate practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in real estate transactions, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and balance loan and escrow accounts related to real estate transactions, including deposits, disbursements, and reconciliations.
- Prepare, review, and process real estate closing documents for residential transactions
- Coordinate with lenders, title companies, real estate agents, and clients to ensure smooth and timely closings
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitor deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks related to closings.
- Provide administrative support to the attorney, including scheduling, file management, and client communication.
- Conduct basic legal research and assist with due diligence as needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or Paralegal Certificate required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in real estate law or escrow processing.
- Familiarity with escrow procedures, title insurance, and closing practices.
- Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in NetDocuments is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
