Polsinelli PC, is seeking an experienced IP Litigation Paralegal supporting our dynamic IP litigation and practices. This role can be hybrid and preferred locations include Boston, Chicago, Denver, Washington, DC.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee, coordinate, and manage IP litigation filings and proceedings, and discovery requests, document production and litigation holds
- Maintain in-depth familiarity with IP litigation procedural rules, particularly rules governing filings, service, submissions and required formatting requirements.
- Prepare and e-file documents on platforms such as ITA ACCESS (USDOC), EDIS (USITC), and ECF (District Court, Court of International Trade), and other platforms as needs present in cases related to district and federal IP Litigation, Section 337 ITC and/or trade remedy, antidumping and countervailing duties
- Coordinate project files, including drafting internal and external communications related to ongoing litigation tasks
- Docket deadlines and manage litigation timelines, track draft exhibits and similar case-related submissions, correspondence, etc.
- Assist in drafting hearing testimony, presentations, and briefing materials. Monitor hearings, briefings, and other policy or trade related events and provide summaries for clients
- Track legislative and policy developments that impact clients’ operations. Research and analyze news, government and industry trends. Ensure expedient updates and data sharing with client and co-counsel, including case developments, incoming document productions, etc.
- Draft and transmit legal documents, memoranda, and correspondence to clients, witnesses and court officials by electronic filing, fax, email, mail and/or messenger
- Interact with outside agencies (court, government agencies, expert witnesses, corporations, vendors) and coordinate activities as needed in support of case
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support IP litigation cases. Use legal databases (Westlaw, EDIS, Docket Navigator, PACER, Relativity) for document research/retrieval. Analyze and generate reports from data, ensuring accurate and efficient data handling. Assist in setting up review databases and archiving data as needed.
- Proofread and cite-check (BlueBook).
- Conduct thorough Quality Checks (QC) on document productions to ensure accuracy
- Travel and provide litigation support at depositions, mediations and trials
SKILLS
- Proficient in IP litigation filings in multiple jurisdictions and agencies
- Proficient in understanding litigation docket and deadlines and maintaining Secondary Docket
- Preferred candidate will have knowledge of International Trade Commission, Department of Commerce and/or Federal Drug Administration (FDA) operations. Preferred candidate will have knowledge of US Government ITAR, EAR, Foreign Trade Regulations, Harmonized Tariff Schedule, and Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) trade regulations.
- Strong attention to detail, communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects
- Proficient in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe)
REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years of demonstrated experience supporting litigation cases in at least two of the following areas: IP Litigation, ITC Section 337 Litigation, Hatch Waxman Litigation or Trade Remedies
- Litigation Docketing knowledge and experience
- Paralegal Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred

The budgeted salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000.
