Position Specific Description
NextEra Energy is seeking an experienced attorney for the commercial and infrastructure group within NextEra Energy’s General Counsel Business Unit. This position will provide legal support related to structuring, drafting and negotiating contracts for procurement of EPC and construction services, engineered equipment (such as power generation equipment), and other complex commercial transactions.
Applicants should have:
- At least 5 years of experience in a top law firm supporting the energy and utility industries.
- Significant experience drafting and negotiating contracts for procurement of power generation equipment and EPC contracts.
- Experience representing electric utilities and independent power producers.
Employees in this job structure, negotiate, and draft agreements for complex transactions and projects and deliver timely and quality legal services to internal clients, including senior management, with minimal supervision.
**Position could be located in the following locations: Juno Beach, FL, Houston, TX, Washington, DC, but remote work from other locations will be considered based on candidate experience**
