About the Role

The Senior Specialist - Client Events, US is an integral part of Latham’s Events, Sponsorship and Travel team. This role will be responsible for executing a high volume of hospitality events for the New York market, as well as, supporting team members on larger event initiatives within the US, while working with key stakeholders to define event objectives and thoughtfully design events accordingly, and post-event, measuring success against outlined objectives and providing recommendations to extend the life-cycle of the event and capturing additional return on investment. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

 

  • Pro-actively coordinating various aspects of the event lifecycle, including planning meetings, checklists, budgets, expense processing, vendor management, onsite and virtual platform management, data management, post-event analysis
  • Curating targeted invitations lists for each event, working closely with stakeholders and e-marketing team
  • Drafting event communications and collateral that align with Latham branding
  • Developing and controlling budgets for each event; identifying, negotiating, and achieving cost savings with venues and vendors
  • Continuously staying abreast of event best practices as well as market and industry trends
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

  • Exhibit good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Possess well‑developed and professional interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with clients and staff at all organizational levels of the firm
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment with a customer‑service focus

 

And have:

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of three (5) years of experience in event management
  • Experience using event management and CRM systems
  • Superior organizational skills to manage multiple events at one time

Pay Range
USD $120,000.00 - USD $130,000.00 /Yr.
