Account Recovery Specialists, Inc. (“ARSI®”), a comprehensive receivables management company, incorporated in Kansas, serving clients locally and nationwide, is accepting applications for a General Counsel Attorney in our Wichita location. We are looking for full-time team members that are motivated and reliable with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Foster a strong culture of ethics and compliance within the company.
- Provide comprehensive legal advice and counsel to the CEO, executive team on a broad range of matters, including corporate governance, contracts, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, employment law and litigation.
- Lead the in-house legal team, including managing workload, mentoring associates, and ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of legal services.
- Lead and advise the in-house compliance team.
- Develop and implement strategic legal initiatives that align with the company’s overall business goals.
- Manage outside counsel relationships and ensure cost-effective legal representation.
- Stay abreast of current legal developments and industry trends that may impact the company’s operations. Including FDCPA and FCRA.
- Proactively identify and mitigate legal risks.
- Represent the company in legal matters as needed.
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
- 5 to 10 years of experience as a practicing attorney, with a significant focus on business law and/or in-house legal experience.
- Receivables Management / Collections experience a plus.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
