The Legal Data Coordinator is responsible for managing and analyzing data to support our federal, state, and city contracts to ensure performance goals. This role involves ensuring compliance with data protection regulations, guiding data collection efforts, creating reports, and entering data into external and internal systems. The coordinator will also lead initiatives related to data management and support the team in creating a data-driven environment. The Legal Data Coordinator reports to the Legal Program Manager and Legal Data Manager. This is position is part of our 1199 bargaining unit.
This position also supports our Bronx Youth Center and must be able to travel between our Main Office located at 555 Broome Street, NYC and the Bronx Youth Center located at 2999 Third Avenue in the Bronx.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare full and timely submission of reports for funders and other stakeholders
- Assist with identifying data issues that cross departments and necessitate common resolution.
- Document and follow best practices for data tracking, analysis and reporting.
- Own the preparation and coordination of full and accurate funder report submission with stakeholders.
- Coordinate data quality and workflow process ensuring data is accurately captured in all data sources.
- Participate in team, department, and committee meetings and trainings as requested.
- Train team members on data entry systems
- Conduct regular audits and data cleanup of various data reporting systems to ensure that staff are staying up to date with data entry, progress notes, and that data is consistent across various reporting systems.
- Work with Legal and Data staff to ensure accurate data collection and to develop and implement expectations for data usage to review the quality and efficacy of their work.
- Prepare and distribute monthly reports related to serves delivery and performance outcomes.
- Prepare data reports for external reporting for grants, funders, and other stakeholders.
- Manage compliance with contracts, including data entry and quality assurance
- Effectively communicate deadlines and best data practices to staff and team members
- Track and coordinate monthly data submissions of program milestones and services rendered
- Partner with program staff and finance team on monthly time and services invoicing on a federal grant
- Assist Legal Data Manager and Legal Program Manager in developing and refining data practices for the program team
- Engage with youth and participants accessing services at The Door
- Complete other responsibilities and functions as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Data experience preferred
- Experience in a data or similar administrative position required, experience in a legal office or organization preferred
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM database preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be proficient using MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel programs
- Comfortable working in the weeds; detail oriented
- Able to manage daily workflow independently and keep up with consistent processes

Work Schedule: Full time, Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm or 10:00 am - 6:00 pm, 35 hours a week.
Salary: $50,000 - $60,000
This position is hybrid with the current expectation that staff report on site twice a week.
