A well\-established and expanding law firm in NJ is seeking a Financial Services, Restructuring & Bankruptcy Associate Attorney to join its financial and lending practice team. This position offers exposure to a wide range of corporate, real estate, and restructuring matters, providing opportunities to work collaboratively with senior attorneys and gain hands\-on experience in complex transactions. What youâll do:<\/b>
<\/div> - Draft, review, and negotiate documentation for secured lending and commercial loans.
<\/span><\/li> - Assist clients with restructuring strategies, forbearance agreements, and distressed asset management.
<\/span><\/li> - Provide support on bankruptcy filings and act on behalf of creditors in negotiations and plan confirmations.
<\/span><\/li> - Conduct due diligence and support transactional work in corporate acquisitions, real estate deals, and lending arrangements.
<\/span><\/li> - Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth execution of client matters and effective workflow in a hybrid work environment.
<\/span><\/li> - Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements<\/h3> What youâll bring:<\/b>
<\/div> - Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
<\/span><\/li> - Admission to the New Jersey Bar required; New York Bar preferred.
<\/span><\/li> - Approximately 4+ years of experience in at least two of the following areas: bankruptcy, banking\/finance, real estate, or corporate law.
<\/span><\/li> - Experience with loan documentation, workouts, restructuring agreements, and creditor representation.
<\/span><\/li> - Strong skills in contract drafting, document review, and legal research.
<\/span><\/li> - Excellent organizational, communication, and time\-management abilities.
<\/span><\/li> - Comfortable managing multiple engagements and deadlines in a hybrid or flexible work setting.

Preferred skills: <\/b>
<\/b> <\/div> - Representation of lenders or financial institutions in secured financing transactions.
<\/span><\/li> - Understanding of UCC regulations and lender liability considerations.
<\/span><\/li> - Experience with complex bankruptcy proceedings or asset restructurings.
<\/span><\/li> - Familiarity with real estate financing, leasing, or acquisition transactions.
<\/span><\/li> - Knowledge of corporate governance, M&A, or transactional support.
<\/span><\/li> - Proficiency with legal technology tools such as DocuSign, iManage, or equivalent platforms.<\/span>
