This is a full-time position with the Marshal's Office at the Supreme Court of the United States in Washington, D.C. DutiesThe Mail Services Clerk is responsible for receipt, delivery, pick-up, metering and sorting of all classes of mail and packages to and from the Supreme Court building and off-site facility. Maintains accurate logs pertaining to all internal deliveries. Fields questions from Court staff regarding rates, transit times and other mail subject matter. Performs other duties as assigned.
Salary- $46,610 - $60,593/year

Three-four years of mailroom experience in a high volume environment and knowledge of current U.S. mail and carrier regulations, services and procedures is desirable. The ability to operate computer terminal and handheld computing devices to process incoming and outgoing mail is required. Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license and good driving record. The ability to operate material handling equipment and government vehicles is required. The ability to perform under pressure, follow oral and written instructions and work independently or in conjunction with individuals at all levels in the organization is required. Must be capable of lifting heavy parcels. The ability to maintain complete confidentiality is required.
Education A High School diploma is required.
