Senior Litigation Associate/Corporate Counsel

Practice Area: Labor & Employment Law

Location: California

Salary: $250,000 to $300,000 + Annual bonus based on billables.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate/Counsel with six or more years of experience to join their dynamic team in one of their California offices. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on complex and high-profile employment law cases, providing both litigation and advisory services to a diverse clientele.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Litigation Excellence: Counsel and defend employers in single-plaintiff employment cases and complex class/collective actions, including wage and hour disputes and unfair employment practices.
  • Strategic Advisory: Provide expert advisory services on a wide range of employment matters, including discipline, discrimination, ADA/FMLA compliance, and wage and hour issues.
  • Comprehensive Case Management: Manage all phases of litigation, from depositions and discovery to motion practice and trial preparation.
  • Legal Drafting Mastery: Draft sophisticated legal documents, including class/collective certification briefs, employment agreements, and employee handbooks.


Qualifications:

  • Six (6+) years of proven experience in Employment and Labor Law.
  • Demonstrated expertise in both litigation and client counseling.
  • Background in defending employers from claims against them in mass tort, class action, wage and hourly rate, discrimination or various other versions of labor & employment litigation.
  • Exceptional legal research, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and client engagements.


Compensation and Benefits:

California law mandates we include the suggested compensation based on historical data. The estimated salary for this role is between $295,000 to $360,000.


The salary and compensation band is largely dependent on experience and ability to bring in cases or litigate strongly in favor of pre-existing clients.
