
Arnall Golden Gregory LLP ("AGG"), an Atlanta-based law firm with approximately 200 attorneys, is seeking a Global Mobility Paralegal responsible for assisting and supporting attorneys for the Corporate/Global Mobility practice group. The requirements for this position include, but are not limited to, those outlined below. This position requires a minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a paralegal with heavy emphasis on business immigration matters and project management, preferably in a law firm setting. It is the employer’s discretion to add to or change the duties or requirements of this position at any time.
Position Reports to: Human Resources Manager, Global Mobility Chair and Corporate Group Co-Chairs
Overall Responsibilities: This is a support position assisting the attorneys within the Global Mobility Department. Primary duties will include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Prepare nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions and application for attorney and client review (e.g., submission letters, immigration-related forms, supporting documentation). Manage heavy client caseload, including case preparation, client email correspondence, and client status calls
- Communication with government agencies—such as the Department of Homeland Security and Department of State—to check status, as necessary
- Client document and data input into immigration software system
- Utilization of firm-sanctioned AI technologies
- Creation and maintenance of client status reports
- Overtime may be required on occasion
- Other duties/tasks as assigned
Required skills:
- Must have prior experience with E-3, L-1, H1-B, H-1B1, TN and PERM cases
- Must have working knowledge of office/administrative procedures and an excellent command of the English language, both written and oral
- Must have strong writing skills and attention to detail
- Must be technology-enabled and conversant with digital resources and artificial intelligence tools and platforms, including proficiency in Tracker or comparable immigration software system
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work independently, and as a member of a team, with supervision.
- Ability to speak, write and translate languages other than English considered a plus
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Extensive experience in business immigration
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- At least five (5) years in the above responsibilities and skill areas required
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite, Adobe software, and immigration software systems and programs required
Mental/Physical/Environmental Requirements
- Indoor offices with controlled temperatures with limited exposure to noise, dust, chemicals
- Mobility within the office including movement from floor to floor
- May sit for long periods of time
- Crouching, kneeling standing, walking, pushing pulling and lifting occasionally
- Operating a personal computer, telephone, voicemail and other office equipment on a regular basis
- Must be able to express and exchange ideas by means of the spoken word
- Must have the ability to convey detailed information in a clear and concise manner through spoken word
- Must demonstrate good problem-solving skills
