The Paralegal Healthcare provides support and assistance to all attorneys involved in the Health Care practice group. Drafts agreements and performs legal research as requested. Manage contracts database.
Contracts
- Under supervision of attorney, drafts and prepares agreements, amendments, termination letters, correspondence and memos as necessary/applicable to Hospital contracts. Consults with other departments and hospitals. Manages and updates files in electronic database, performs on-line database searches, interacts with HDQ and hospital staff, as necessary.
Healthcare - General
- Performs all paralegal duties assigned and supervised by Shriners Children's attorneys in connection with hospital related issues. Assists and supports attorneys on health care matters.
Legal Research
- Legal research utilizing numerous resources, including Westlaw and the internet. Provides support and assistance to attorneys in research of health care related matters.

Required:
- 4 years of paralegal contracts, transactional legal work and/or healthcare experience
- Florida Registered Paralegal, or eligible to become FRP
Preferred:
- Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies
