Job Description

Summary Description: Harrison LLP is seeking an experienced Collections Manager to own and advance the firm’s collections program. The Collections Manager will manage and execute the collections process for the firm’s nationwide locations.
 
Reports to: Director of Finance
 
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the collections process for all client accounts, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of outstanding invoices
  • Collaborate with Timekeepers and Director of Finance to review aged receivables and develop collections strategies
  • Serve as the primary point of contact regarding outstanding balances and payment arrangements
  • Ensure consistent professionalism and courtesy in all client interactions, fostering positive relationships while maintaining respect and confidentiality
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on collection metrics and performance to firm leadership
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance collections efficiency and reduce days outstanding
  • Ensure compliance with firm policies, client agreements, and applicable legal and ethical standards in all collection activities
  • Coordinate with the billing team to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate invoicing
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on all communications, payment arrangements, and collection efforts
  • Assist in preparing reports for audits, budget forecasting, and cash flow projections

Required Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a Billing Collections role and experience in a law firm environment
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency in legal billing systems 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information

  • Experience with TimeSolv
  • Experience with Aderant

Physical Activity: The employee will be required to sit for prolonged periods and work on a computer.
