The Legal Intern will work with in-house attorneys on various projects. The assigned projects will focus on utility regulatory matters, including rate increases, environmental compliance and other compliance work. There will also be an opportunity to work with in-house litigation attorneys. The Legal Intern must be able to work independently, be able to conduct specialized legal research, excel at writing documents to be filed before regulators and state courts, and have an interest in utility work.
Basic/Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance
- Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
Desired Qualifications
- Cumulative GPA of 3.6 or higher
- Pre-Law Track
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications
- Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills, with legal writing experience
- Interest in utility regulatory matters
Working Conditions
- Hybrid Mobility Classification – Work will be performed at a company facility.
- Ability to work up to 40 hours per week
