The AI Product Owner role is central to this mission — bringing legal domain expertise, understanding user needs firsthand, defining what we build, and driving adoption across practice groups.

The Senior Product Owner defines and drives overarching product strategy for Legal Operations, combining legal domain expertise with product ownership and hands-on business analysis. You will leverage your understanding of legal workflows to conduct user research, document requirements, own the product backlog, and work closely with AI/ML Engineers and AI Product Developers to deliver solutions that attorneys trust and adopt. This role requires legal operations fluency, deep empathy for users, analytical rigor, and sharp prioritization skills.

Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI products serving Legal Operations, working to shape the long-term vision and influence broader organizational strategy\\nLeverage legal domain expertise to understand practice group workflows, terminology, and pain points\\nConduct and lead user interviews, workflow analysis, and stakeholder sessions with attorneys, paralegals, and legal operations staff\\nConduct and lead business requirements, legal process flows, and user stories with clarity and precision\\nDefine, prioritize, and optimize product backlog based on user needs, business value, and technical feasibility\\nLead and define strategies for translating legal workflows (e.g. matter management, contract lifecycle, outside counsel management, compliance) into clear product specifications\\nIdentify, promote, and lead execution of automation and AI opportunities across product portfolios\\nCollaborate with and direct AI/ML Engineers to understand technical constraints and deliver feasible solutions\\nWork with and lead AI Product Developers to deliver intuitive user experiences that drive adoption\\nDrive and lead requirements workshops, design sessions, and UAT with practice group stakeholders\\nDefine, drive, optimize, and promote success metrics to measure product impacts across portfolios\\nConduct and lead demos, feedback gathering, and leverage user inputs to drive adoption across products\\nDrive go-to-market planning including change management, training, and adoption strategies\\nOwn, influence, and drive product roadmaps, progress, and trade-offs with stakeholders and leadership\\nMaintain and leverage subject matter expertise on AI capabilities and legal tech trends to drive product direction

10+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, and/or legal operations — with hands-on experience across multiple disciplines\\nDemonstrated delivery of solutions leveraging deep expertise in corporate operations, workflows, and terminology\\nProven ability to lead user research, design, and requirements, translating findings into product specifications and customer success metrics\\nExperience working with technical teams (e.g. engineering, data science, AI/ML)\\nProven track record delivering solutions leveraging design thinking, agile methodologies, and the product development lifecycle\\nExcellent documentation skills — able to produce clear business requirements, process flows, and user stories\\nStrong facilitation skills for workshops, interviews, and stakeholder sessions\\nExcellent communication skills — able to engage credibly with attorneys and influence stakeholders

Direct experience in a corporate legal department, law firm, or legal tech company\\nFamiliarity with legal systems (matter management, CLM, eBilling, document management, eDiscovery)\\nUnderstanding of legal spend management, LEDES/UTBMS billing codes, and outside counsel operations\\nExperience with AI/ML products or data-driven applications\\nUnderstanding of AI capabilities and limitations (LLMs, RAG, agents, prompt engineering)\\nExperience with business process modeling and workflow documentation tools\\nExperience with product analytics and user research methodologies\\nCertified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), CBAP, or similar certification\\nJD, paralegal certificate, or legal operations certification a plus\\nTrack record of shipping products that legal professionals adopt and value
