Nextdoor is seeking a Commercial Counsel to join its high-impact legal team, supporting the essential neighborhood network that connects over 350,000 communities across 11 countries. This role is central to enabling Nextdoor’s global revenue and business teams, with a focus on commercial transactions, advertising partnerships, and the development of scalable legal systems.

As Commercial Counsel, you will advise on a broad range of commercial matters, draft and negotiate contracts with advertising clients, agencies, and partners, and design workflows and playbooks that empower business teams to move quickly while maintaining legal integrity. You will play a key role in operationalizing AI tools and emerging technologies across the contract lifecycle, ensuring that legal operations are efficient, consistent, and aligned with business objectives.

The ideal candidate brings at least 3 years of relevant legal experience, including in-house work within technology or digital media, and a proven track record of building legal operations infrastructure. Experience with AI-driven legal tools, digital advertising contracts, and a builder’s mindset are essential. Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills are required, along with the ability to manage risk and collaborate across teams. Familiarity with data privacy, IP, and advertising law is important, as is a genuine enthusiasm for leveraging technology to reimagine legal work.
