                            Talis Group’s company client is a well-established Lexington, KY law firm with a strong real estate practice, representing lenders, developers, investors, and businesses in commercial and residential transactions. We are seeking a detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal with a primary focus on loan processing and closing support to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review loan documentation, closing packages, and title commitments for accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate all aspects of commercial and residential loan closings, including scheduling, document distribution, and communication with lenders, borrowers, title companies, and other parties.
- Draft and organize real estate documents such as deeds, mortgages, assignments, releases, affidavits, and settlement statements.
- Perform title and survey reviews, identify issues, and work with attorneys and title companies to resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure all required documents and signatures are obtained prior to closing.
- Manage post-closing follow-up, including recording documents, preparing final title policies, and maintaining closing files.
- Maintain organized checklists and track deadlines to ensure smooth and timely loan closings.
- Provide administrative and paralegal support to attorneys in the real estate department.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a real estate paralegal, preferably in a law firm or title/closing company environment.
- Strong knowledge of loan documentation, title insurance, and real estate closing procedures.
- Familiarity with commercial lending or residential loan processing.
- Excellent organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with multiple parties.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management software; experience with title software is a plus.
