
Data Strategy, Security and Privacy Associate
Fried Frank Attorney See More Job Openings by This EmployerFried Frank is seeking an outstanding mid-level associate with three to five years of relevant experience handling data privacy and cybersecurity matters to join its growing Data Strategy, Security and Privacy team in NY.
The ideal candidate should have the following experience:
- Data Privacy and Cybersecurity transactional due diligence for M&A and financings and negotiation of accompanying transaction documents (e.g., NDAs, Purchase Agreements, TSAs, DPAs, data sharing agreements)
- Advising and implementing privacy programs, including privacy policies and notices, cookie policies and terms of use
- Drafting and negotiating privacy and data protection terms in commercial agreements (e.g., service provider agreements, customer agreements, data usage and sharing agreements)
- Command of privacy and cybersecurity laws (e.g., GLBA, CCPA (and other comprehensive state privacy laws), GDPR, CAN-SPAM/TCPA, breach notification laws)
The following is appreciated but not required:
- Familiarity with AI laws and governance frameworks
- Privacy, cybersecurity and AI-related product counseling experience
- Legal or industry-based AdTech experience
- HIPAA experience
- Reactive/proactive incident and breach response representation

The Firm pays market salaries to our attorneys. As such, below is the current associate base salary scale:
* 1st year: $225,000
* 2nd year: $235,000
* 3rd year: $260,000
* 4th year: $310,000
* 5th year: $365,000
* 6th year: $390,000
* 7th year: $420,000
* 8th year: $435,000
