
SENIOR PARALEGAL
JOB DESCRIPTION: Singleton Schreiber, LLP is seeking an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Senior Paralegal to help lead fire Settlement team(s). This position is fast-paced and supports a team of attorneys performing litigation in state and federal courts, post-settlement.
This is a remote role open to California based applicants.
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
$38.00-$43.00 per hour
Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.

JOB DUTIES:
- Communicating regularly with clients. Take lead on handling client issues>
- Provide support and mentorship to case assistants and paralegals regarding legal questions and processes. Work well independently.
- Drafting, reviewing, finalizing, filing, and serving of settlement agreements, requests for dismissals and minor's compromises in multiple jurisdictions throughout California, Oregon, Colorado, New Mexico, Washington, Texas, and Hawaii.
- Drafting, reviewing, finalizing, and tracking settlement disbursement agreements for clients after settlement.
- Quality control audits of team work product.
- Identifying, tracking, and managing case-related deadlines in an electronic calendaring system.
- Support our internal litigation and damages teams, as needed.
- Build and maintain working relationships with defense counsel(s) and regularly meet regarding approaching deadlines.
- Uploading and updating client information into a case management database.
- Drafting legal documents, correspondence, and court forms, with minimal oversight and review and with great attention to detail.
- Staying abreast of rules of civil procedure in both state and federal courts, including CM/ECF filing/Pacer and arranging for service of pleadings and subpoenas.
- Identifying, tracking, and managing case-related deadlines in an electronic calendaring system.
- Management of electronic information and document management.
- Creating and utilizing document generation templates.
- Ensuring firm's compliance with local rules of professional responsibility, particularly pertaining to timing of notifying clients of the receipt of funds and timely distribution thereof.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidates must possess a paralegal certificate or meet the Bus. & Prof. Code § 6450 requirements.
- 5+ years of experience with working up cases and doing paralegal-level tasks.
- Experience in case management software programs, preferably FileVine.
- Proficient in Adobe, Excel, Microsoft Office, Outlook.
- Familiar with E-Discovery and law programs such as, Sharefile, PACER, CaseAnywhere, Lexis, Smart Advocate, Everlaw, FileVine, OneLegal.
- A successful candidate will be detail oriented and organized, be a team player, be reliable, and capable of multitasking and managing several time-critical projects under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
