MedFlight is seeking a part-time (20 hrs/week) Paralegal to work with us for 6 months on a contracts project. The contractor will have flexibility on hours worked (days/evenings/weekends) and location (in office/remote) and will need to be available for connecting with Vice President of Legal Affairs and Risk Management throughout the week for project review and quality control.
Job Overview:
As a Paralegal, you will play a critical role in reviewing existing contracts and managing contracts and legal documents. You will collaborate closely with the Vice President of Legal Affairs and Risk Management to ensure compliance with organizational policies and contract terms.
Key Responsibilities:
· Review a variety of contracts, including but not limited to leases, payor, software, and confidentiality agreements.
· Conduct legal research to support the review and interpretation of contracts.
· Maintain an organized contract database, ensuring all agreements are properly stored and accessible.
· Monitor key contract milestones and deadlines, providing reminders and updates as necessary.
· Collaborate with internal teams to collect necessary information for contract negotiations and execution.
· Communicate with clients and stakeholders regarding contract terms and requirements.
Qualifications:
· A paralegal certificate from an accredited program is preferred.
· Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on contracts preferred.
· Strong understanding of contract law and legal terminology.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
