
Candidate Description
The Philadelphia office of Greenberg Traurig is seeking a junior attorney to join its Investment Management and Financial Services Practice. The group does highly sophisticated and diversified work for clients that include banks, financial institutions, transfer agents, funds, advisers, and institutional investors. Preferred candidates should have familiarity with private and registered funds formation and alternative structures, and a working knowledge of the federal securities laws, in particular those applicable to investment companies and investment advisers.
Candidates should possess a strong academic background, client management skills and superior drafting skills. Candidates must have the skills to retain and desire to grow existing clients and relationships, including the ability to multi-task and manage their time to meet deadlines and complete projects.
- Admission to practice law in Pennsylvania with excellent academic credentials;
- 2+ years of experience at a law firm, financial institution, or regulator with demonstrated financial services experience;
- Superior writing skills, strong work ethic, great communication skills, comfort with ambiguity and outstanding interpersonal skills;
- Experience drafting and negotiating services agreements; and
- Willingness and desire to learn.
