ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Corporate Paralegal to support our legal team at Harrison LLP. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to paralegals and attorneys in the Trust & Estate practice by assisting with handling corporate tasks relevant to estate planning which require working with corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships handling formation, governance, administration and compliance matters.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Create, maintain and organize existing files including Corporate Record Books.
- Assist paralegals with overflow duties.
- Database use and management; internet-based/electronic research; project folder/electronic file maintenance.
- Maintain tracking spreadsheets.
- Assist with preparation of annual reporting for entities with State agencies.
- Assist with formation documents for new entities.
- Assist with docketing and calendaring.
- Assist with other tasks as assigned.
- Meet annual targeted billable hours of (generally 600 – 800 if full-time).
- Collaborate with attorneys and other departments to provide legal support and guidance on various corporate matters.

POSITION-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent required. Certification from a recognized paralegal association (e.g., NALA, NFPA).
- Prior legal training preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent spelling and grammar skills required. Strong writing skills required.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize; excellent time management.
- Proven success working in a fast-paced, continually changing environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task efficiently and be an independent thinker.
- Proactive mindset, with the ability to anticipate legal needs and address them effectively.

Annual salary range: $65,000 - $80,000

LOCATION:
This position has the potential of being a hybrid position after six months of employment and requiring candidates to work from the office at least 3 days a week in Harrison LLP’s St. Louis office located at 7733 Forsyth Blvd., Suite 1300, Clayton, MO 63105
