Position Title: Assistant District Attorney
Status: Full Time or Part Time

Salary: Commensurate with Experience and Qualifications

The District 13 District Attorney’s Office is a state prosecuting agency encompassing Delaware and Ottawa Counties. We are dedicated to upholding justice and protecting the rights of the community. Our office is committed to advocating for victims, prosecuting criminals, and ensuring public safety.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant District Attorney. The Assistant District Attorney will be responsible for a variety of tasks including conducting legal research, preparing and presenting cases in court, collaborating with law enforcement agencies, drafting legal documents all on behalf the District Attorney. The Assistant District Attorney will work closely with victims, witnesses, law enforcement officers, and other stakeholders to ensure a fair and just legal process.
Minimum Requirements: Experience is not required; we will consider newly licensed attorneys and those sitting for the July bar exams.
Qualifications
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to and in good standing with Oklahoma Bar Association Oklahoma Bar License
• Knowledge of criminal law, legal issues, and the court system
• Experience in law enforcement or criminal justice
• Possess excellent oral advocacy, legal analysis and legal writing and editing skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Must secure and maintain a favorable background investigation
