Job Description

In this role, you will work in a fast-paced environment, supporting Bosch’s growing HVAC solutions business in the Energy and Building Technology business sector in North America. The position will require the ability to effectively lead a team, manage numerous, diverse projects at the same time, and involve business consulting, contract drafting, and negotiation.  The candidate must be a self-starter and have an ability to effectively work with all levels within the organization and collaboratively with our global colleagues. Key job responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, manage, and develop the legal team responsible for supporting Bosch’s HVAC solutions business in North America
  • Advise and consult with business, engineering, sales, and legal teams regarding a variety of legal and commercial issues
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of industry-specific regulations to provide insight into legal issues that arise from the business
  • Provide legal advice and support on regulatory matters, including product compliance, competition/antitrust, and other relevant regulations
  • Draft and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including those relating to sales, distribution, procurement, and non-disclosure agreements in alignment with applicable laws and internal Bosch policies and directives
  • Work with legal and business teams to ensure compliance with legal obligations
  • Deliver internal training on legal matters
  • Some travel, both domestic and international, may be required, as needed
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • J.D. from a U.S. accredited law school
  • Member of Texas bar in good standing or eligible to practice law in Texas as in-house counsel
  • 8+ years of experience as a practicing commercial/transactional attorney
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years as an in-house counsel in a corporate environment
  • Experience in the HVAC industry
  • Experience managing litigation and/or M&A transactions
  • Experience collaborating with international teams
