CLS is currently searching for a service-minded, mission driven individual to fill the following position:

 

Facilities Manager

 

OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Facilities Manager will oversee the day-to-day maintenance and operation of our facilities. This individual will ensure that our physical spaces are first class facilities - safe, functional, and aligned with our organizational mission. The Facilities Manager will play a critical role in implementing and supporting facilities maintenance, long-term planning, and potential disaster recovery. Possessing knowledge of internal business processes and fiscal constraints, this position evaluates planned maintenance, improvements and possible acquisitions.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Perform routine inspections at each location to identify repair and maintenance needs.
  2. Coordinate and oversee repairs, renovations, and upgrades, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
  3. Maintain all documents associated with CLS properties. 
  4. Assist Chief Financial Officer with leases, business taxes, and insurance policies.
  5. Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers.
  6. Ensure facilities meet health, safety, and accessibility standards, adhering to relevant regulations.
  7. Formulates, develops, and coordinates safety and emergency preparedness for the firm.
  8. Maintain physical security of the buildings. Conduct regular safety drills and inspections.
  9. Manage facility-related budgets, including tracking expenses and sourcing cost-effective solutions.
  10. Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment, ordering replacements as needed.
  11. Develop and implement procedure and guidelines in properly archiving active and inactive records and destroying records according to a Records Retention Schedule.
  12. Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainable practices where possible.
  13. Monitor utility usage and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  14. Work closely with staff, volunteers, and stakeholders to address facility needs.
  15. Support special projects or events by ensuring spaces are set up appropriately.
  16. Oversees the Senior Coordinator of Security & Property Management.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

2.  Background and Experience

           

  1. BA/BS/Master’s or other advanced studies/certifications required.
  2. Exhibit business process knowledge. Possess a broad-based operational perspective and provides alternative solutions to address competing needs.
  3. Must possess excellent workflow/time management skills and be computer literate (Microsoft Office, 365, Legal Server).
  4. Excellent project management, with superior organizational and highly polished communication and writing skills essential.
  5. Bilingual (English/Spanish) desirable.
  6. Valid Florida automobile license, use of own auto, and proof of auto insurance necessary.
  7. Ability to perform duties and attend meetings and/or other functions throughout 12 county service area.

 

3Physical Requirements

 

a. Prolonged periods siting at a desk and working on a computer.

b.  Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times. 

 

Starting Salary: $65,000. More with Experience
