Under supervision of and receiving general direction from a Deputy Labor Commissioner III (DLCIII), in the State Labor Commissioner’s Office of BOFE, LETF, and/or PAGA programs, the incumbent is responsible for the investigation and enforcement of the Indusrial Welfare Commissioner orders and laws covering workers’ compenstion insurance coverage, child labor, cash pay, unlicensed contractors, as well as group claims involving minimum wage and overtime. The incumbent of the program (ie BOFE, LETF, and/or PAGA) may also work in partnership with other governmental entities on the investigation and prosecution of group claims.

The duties of this position are conducted both in an office and field setting. The incumbent is required to travel for field operations and trainings. The incumbent will have access to a state vehicle, laptop computer, printer, cellular phone, and other equipment. While in the field, the incumbent may be exposed to dirt, odors, noise, fumes, uneven surfaces, stairs, high-rise buildings, extreme weather conditions, and fast moving equipment.
- Possible Telework Opportunities ~ Successful candidates would be expected to report to the assigned office, in person, at least 4 times per week. Days may vary depending on operational needs.
