Duties This position is located under the Office of Human Resources and Professional Development, ATF National Academy, located in Glynco, Georgia. ATF is looking for experienced Criminal Investigators. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure new ATF trainees are fully prepared and have the technical and tactical expertise to carry out the ATF mission. As a Criminal Investigator (Training Manager), GS-1811-13, your typical work assignments may include: Advising and managing educational and training programs and support functions, policies, and protocols that have an impact on the quality and integrity of field operations for ATF criminal investigations conducted nationwide Planning and conducting studies involving the collection and analysis of operational and strategic intelligence from various sources in order to evaluate and develop course materials and presentation methods, and evaluate rates of failure, attrition, and student performance. Instructing and demonstrating physical tactics and rehearsals to include raids, seizures, and live fire exercises that are capstone tactical operations in nature Supporting active investigations and provides consultation and expert advice on complex investigation requests from operational field agents involving violations of federal firearms, explosives, and arson laws. Salary- $106,437 - $138,370/year
