Duties If selected for this position, you will serve as a Grand Jury Clerk responsible for planning, coordinating and scheduling activities of the Grand Jury and providing legal and administrative support. Typical work assignments will include: Preparing the Grand Jury Schedule for distribution to Criminal Assistant U.S. Attorneys and those appearing before the Grand Jury. Maintaining and updating lists of grand jurors who are impaneled every 18 months and serve weekly. Tracking transcripts of Grand Jury testimony to insure they are received on a timely basis. Using word processing equipment and software to prepare correspondence, lists, and data entry. Process legal documents such as subpoenas, search warrants, and provide administrative support for travel. - Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress. The salary range for a GS-7 in San Francisco, California is $62,456 - $81,198 (step 1 through step 10). New federal employees are typically hired at Step 1 of the assigned grade.
