This position functions as the docket coordinator for administrative appeals, provides office and legal clerical support, reviews records and reports, performs legal research, and assists in the preparation of Chief Counsel's Office (CCO) reports to the SERS Board.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week, Monday through Friday.
  • A work schedule beginning and ending between 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., inclusive, with a half-hour or one-hour meal period will be considered, dependent on operational requirements. The requested work schedule may not end prior to 4:00 p.m.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home part-time (hybrid telework schedule), depending on operational needs and progress in learning assigned tasks. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you must work on-site at the work location specified in this job posting. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Legal Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);or
  • Four years of responsible clerical, investigative or enforcement work including one year of legal clerical support experience;or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:
