Job Description
- Manage employment law cases from intake through resolution
- Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and legal memoranda
- Conduct and defend depositions, attend mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings
- Provide counsel to clients on compliance with state and federal employment laws
- Handle cases involving discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and retaliation claims
- Collaborate with colleagues while independently managing your own caseload
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and courts
Qualifications
- Active NJ Bar license required
- Minimum 2 years of employment law experience
- Strong knowledge of federal and NJ employment statutes (e.g., Title VII, ADA, FMLA, NJLAD, CEPA)
- Litigation and courtroom experience preferred
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently in a fast-paced environment
