About Oracle's Data Center and Networking Legal Team:
The Data Center and Networking legal team within Oracle's legal department is responsible for providing legal support for complex data center power and energy transactions with data center providers. Managing counsel works closely with Oracle executives to complete agreements between Oracle and its providers. Managing counsel coordinate the efforts of various internal organizations to ensure that Oracle contracts comply with company policies, and take a leadership role in defining policies, practices, and procedures within the company.
As an individual contributor in the Data Center and Networking legal team, you will join a collaborative group of attorneys with an interesting and diverse technology law practice focusing on transactions involving data center development, acquiring and leasing real property for data center development, including power and energy requirements, site selection, land use, permitting and zoning, construction contracts, the deployment of fiber connectivity, and negotiation of power purchase agreements, to support the center.
Accordingly, this position is best suited to an attorney with significant commercial negotiating and contracting experience who can manage a variety of tasks, evaluate alternatives quickly, and provide top quality legal assistance and support to executive-level clients.

Preferred Qualifications:
- 8+ years of relevant legal experience focused on the power and energy sector (renewable, traditional, utilities, transmissions, etc.).
- Demonstrated experience advising on regulatory compliance, permitting, and licensing within the energy industry.
- In-depth knowledge of energy regulatory bodies (e.g., FERC, DOE, state-level agencies) and relevant legislation.
- Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts related to power purchase agreements (PPAs), supply agreements, infrastructure development, and joint ventures.
- Track record handling due diligence and risk assessment in power and energy transactions.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative, and dynamic team environment.
- Admission to practice law in the United States.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range in USD from: $139,400 to $291,800 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
