The Associate General Counsel reports to the General Counsel.  This role is based in New York City and you will be expected in the office a few days a week, at minimum.

Responsibilities   

  • Support General Counsel with respect to the overall legal and compliance functions.
  • Provide day-to-day counseling and advice across a variety of areas, such as contractual interpretation, compliance, operations, and HR matters.
  • Draft, review and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, such as purchase agreements, licensing agreements, supply chain agreements, IT and business process outsourcing agreements, and SaaS agreements.
  • Experience and familiarity with cyber-security and data protection laws, including GDPR.
  • Keep abreast of changes and developments impacting consumer protection, advertising laws, privacy, HR and proactively advise on the same.

Qualifications  

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 5+ years of general corporate legal experience, preferably at both a law firm and a multi-national company (consumer products or ecommerce is a plus).
  • Experience and confidence independently drafting and negotiating a variety of agreements and providing practical and business-oriented advice.

What We Offer  

215K/yr – 245K/yr. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This position is eligible for participation in a discretionary bonus plan based on individual and company performance.
