Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Legal Secretary to provide administrative and secretarial support to our County Attorney's Office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing correspondence, maintaining files, scheduling appointments, and assisting with legal research and documentation.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification or training in office administration is a plus
- Proven experience as a secretary or administrative assistant, preferably in a legal setting or government office
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office and legal research tools
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, contracts, and other correspondence
- Coordinate and schedule appointments, meetings, and court dates
- Assist with legal research and document preparation
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic files
- Handle incoming and outgoing communications, such as phone calls, emails, and letters
- Perform general office tasks, including copying, faxing, and data entry
