General Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Part-Time Paralegal to assist with contract review and document management in a sales and services company. The ideal candidate will have experience in legal research, contract analysis, and maintaining legal documentation. This position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to support the company’s business operations through effective contract management.
Specific Responsibilities
- Review, draft, and revise contracts and other legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal standards.
- Organize, maintain, and manage legal files, ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping.
- Conduct legal research on contract law and regulatory compliance as needed.
- Assist in identifying potential risks in contracts and suggest necessary revisions.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders regarding document-related inquiries.
- Ensure deadlines for contract execution and document retention policies are met.
- Part-time position (flexible hours, approximately 15-25 hours per week).
- Hybrid or remote work options available, depending on company needs.
- Other duties as needed.
Required Competencies
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, contract structures, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly redlining in Word, and document management.
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to communicate verbally and written in a thorough, professional and customer service focused manner.
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in contract review and document management.
Preferred Experience/Competencies
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field preferred.
- Paralegal certification or equivalent experience in contract law.
