General Purpose:
The Trademark Docketing Specialist manages the complete lifecycle of trademark applications and registrations through accurate docketing, deadline management, and correspondence processing from the USPTO, clients, and international offices.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Review and process a large volume of e-mail, mailings, correspondence and pleadings related to trademark matters from the USPTO, clients, foreign counsel and other foreign trademark offices.
- Maintain trademark attorney case dockets using web-based system. Keep detailed records of all entries to address questions about deadlines and procedures.
- Utilizes training materials and follows standard operating procedures
- Save documents, using the firm naming convention, to the correct client/matter folder and forward them to the correct legal team.
- Generate detailed reports on portfolio status, upcoming deadlines, and required actions.
- Maintains current docketing team protocols.
- Assist with other docketing related duties, reports and special projects, as necessary.
- Performs additional duties and tasks assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to supporting the firm’s overall objectives.

Job Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certification):
- Two (2) + years’ trademark docketing experience is required.
- Associate’s degree preferred.
- Knowledge of trademark docketing software required.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Prior knowledge of the US and foreign trademark prosecution process and understanding of relevant documents is strongly preferred.
- Experience/ability to interface with USPTO, WIPO, and other websites regarding trademark matters.
- Proven aptitude to learn new software applications.
- Expert ability to prepare accurate, highly detailed work; excellent proofreading skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Requires the ability & soft skills to work effectively with personnel at all levels of seniority within the firm. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle and maintain confidential or sensitive information.
- Strong attention to details with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee must have the ability to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time; manipulate (lift, carry, move) weights of at least ten (10) pounds; have repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement to work on a computer and/or related office equipment; speak clearly and concisely so listeners can understand; and regularly understand the speech of another person.

Schedule:
This position is primarily remote, after the onboarding period. Additional days in-office may be required depending on business need and the demands of specific tasks. The hybrid work structure may change at any time, including the number of in-office day requirement. Employees must reside in Holland & Hart's "footprint."
Compensation:
Holland & Hart offers of employment take into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the position's work location, external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees. A discretionary bonus may be available based upon performance. The Colorado salary range is $28.24 to $47.07 per hour. The Washington DC salary range is $31.06 to $51.78 per hour. A discretionary bonus may be available based upon performance.
