In this role, you will represent clients in immigration court proceedings, including removal defense cases, and argue for favorable outcomes. You will also maintain detailed client files, track case progress, and communicate regularly with clients regarding updates and next steps. Additionally, you will draft and file accurate immigration petitions, including family petitions, employment-based visa applications, asylum requests, and naturalization applications. Thoroughly researching applicable immigration laws and regulations to identify the best course of action for each client's situation and filing legal documents (e-file) are also key responsibilities. - Monday - Friday
- 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Represent clients in immigration court proceedings, including removal defense cases, and argue for favorable outcomes
- Maintain detailed client files, track case progress, and communicate regularly with clients regarding updates and next steps
- Draft and file accurate immigration petitions, including family petitions, employment-based visa applications, asylum requests, and naturalization applications
- Thoroughly research applicable immigration laws and regulations to identify the best course of action for each client's situation
- File legal documents (e-file)
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the Iowa Bar
- 1-3 years of work experience, preferably in Immigration Law
- Ability to travel to client meetings, court, and other deposition locations
- Commitment to producing high-quality legal work
