This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, high-stakes cases in a collaborative and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest or background in toxic tort, environmental exposure, or asbestos-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload involving toxic tort and asbestos claims within the insurance defense framework
- Conducting thorough legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Representing clients in court proceedings, mediations, and depositions.
- Analyze complex medical and technical records
- Providing strategic legal advice and counsel to clients.
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations affecting insurance defense.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Louisiana State Bar and in good standing.
- 5 + litigation experience preferred; toxic tort/asbestos or insurance defense experience a plus
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
