Duties This position is in the Supreme Court of the United States, Police Force Administrative Services Unit. The Executive Assistant for the Police Force reports to and receives general direction and supervision from the Administrative Services Unit, Administrative Officer. However, the individual will directly support the Chief of Police, Deputy Chief of Police, and other Police Leadership staff as designated by the Chief of Police or their designee. The incumbent regularly works with Police leadership to draft written materials and perform a variety of special and complex assignments on behalf of the Chief of Police. The Executive Assistant's core responsibilities include assisting the Police Executive Team (e.g., Chief of Police, Deputy Chief of Police, and Captains) with compiling reports, responding to inquiries, reconciling and tracking information, and drafting and managing correspondence. Other major duties include: project management, budget tracking and contracting responsibilities; managing office administration including calendars, schedules, meetings, and travel; research on specialized topics; assisting with other program areas within the department; and providing back-up support with clearance requests, badging and fingerprinting. At times, the incumbent may be responsible for driving executives, documents, supplies, or equipment to and from events. The incumbent may perform other duties as assigned.
